Natural England, with Scottish Natural Heritage, are currently reviewing and revising the Landscape Character Assessment (LCA) Guidance for England and Scotland (2002) and related Topic Papers. Land Use Consultants have been appointed to undertake the review and prepare the new guidance.
The guidance will be updated to reflect its current use, good practice, and the European Landscape Convention (ELC). It will include new topics and additional related guidance that may be needed. The guidance will be used to promote the increased use of landscape character assessment in the planning, protection and management of our environment.
The questionnaire provides an opportunity for you to help shape the structure, content and format of the new LCA guidance.
Please use the link below to complete the short questionnaire. It will take no more than 10 minutes. Responses should be based on your involvement in LCA in England and Scotland.
