Shropshire Council is an excellent council. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated professional to advise on landscape character and management, maintain and develop the county’s Landscape Character Assessment and to work on projects that enhance the natural and historic environment in Shropshire.  The post holder will be a job-share partner to an existing member of staff, on an 18.5 hour week (Wed –Fri).

This is an opportunity for a team player who understands and enjoys partnership working.  You will need to be able to provide advice on landscape issues within the statutory planning process, promote sustainable development in corporate project teams and secure external funding for environmental work.

Applicants should have a degree level qualification in a landscape related discipline, proven, relevant experience and be proficient with current IT applications, including GIS.  With excellent communication skills you will be able to consistently produce high quality work.
