Crestwood Environmental Ltd. has vacancy within the Company for a Senior Ecological Consultant.

The Company is a well established multi‑disciplinary environmental consultancy providing services to a wide-range of clients working in a number of sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. The role will involve taking a lead in the development of ecological services provided by the Company. Work to include leading the undertaking and production of habitat & species surveys and mitigation schemes, ecological impact assessments, production of restoration schemes & management plans, provision of input into roof gardens and SUDs schemes, writing of biodiversity action plans, production of leaflets and liaison with clients and regulatory authorities.  Opportunities to undertake bioaerosol monitoring and interpretation are also available.

The successful applicant will ideally:

•  Be commercially-aware with good all round knowledge of practical and legal aspects of ecology and have experience at undertaking EcIAs;

•  Have excellent report-writing skills;

•  Be a holder of a surveyor licence for GCNs (or other protected species) and able to write and submit protected species mitigation schemes;

• Be qualified to at least degree level in an environmental subject and have proven experience at managing other ecological consultants and contractors on a number of projects;

• Be a member of a relevant professional institution (e.g. IEEM) or be working towards full membership and have at least 4 years relevant experience.
